I have the feeling that either the shadows or the building on the right with the big banner should be clues, but I have no idea Smile

Couldn't be the Mississippi, at least not what I've seen of it; the Mississip is much wider.

Given the shed hubcap and skid marks on the almost non-existent shoulder, plus the narrow river, I'll say Fort Worth Smile

Maybe that was too difficult due to the view being too narrow. I'll maybe try another on later. Here's where this one is...

Pittsburgh.

DAMN IT!!! I was really going to guess that -- promise. It's because it's call the "Three Rivers City" and I was trying to think of cities known for their rivers.

Shit! Smile

Looks a wee bit like Sausalito, with Mt. Tam in the background.

Razz

Clues:

It IS in Australia.

It's not part of Lake Macquarie.

It's not really close to any of the capital cities.       sunny

nup no idea..... too many options
the only feature that stands out is the rocky shore (uncommon here) but I still can't pick it.

Laughing

Yep...

Anybody who has taken the train from Sydney north to the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle will have traveled through the Brisbane Waters National Park (which is around a thousand kms south of Brisbane, by the way.). and the rail line runs right past the water at some points ~ so anybody travelling through of a night time could see that town there..

People who haven't been through the Central Coast region before could easily think it's in Qld's central/mid' coast, southern NSW or Victoria, if they were simply told that it's somewhere in Oz.
