Be mindful of other sites.

Post by Angry Andy on Sun Jun 29, 2014 5:40 pm

First topic message reminder :

Especially a forum being run from Turkey, as is harbouring criminals involved in hacking.
And don't forget Coulson, who didn't do the hacking himself, but got his lackies to do his dirty work, then published the results.
Remarkable similarities.
I wonder how long he will go down for?
And the admin there is making no comment.
It will be interesting to see what action forumotion take against it, not just for breaking the forum rules, and also the law, but for allowing the illegally hacked posts to remain visible.

I am quite sure HA did nothing of the sort, especially knowing how damn angry he is.   It has not only been reported on the Forumotion Forum of Forums, but to the Forumotion Litigation Department.   If that gets no result, we will take it further.   People might want to try and smooth this over and pretend it is a storm in a teacup, but it's not.   Hacking of any sort about anything is now taken very seriously.

two points

were they hacked?? or did someone party to them simply pass them on....not that that is very good

secondly security of the site is forumotions problem..not the admins

bear in mind even the admin has no access to the PM system ONLY forumotion people can do that (at some level) even if the site was hacked and someone gained access to the admin pannel...they couldnt get to PMs.... tyhey are seperate to the site per se as far as I KNOW...a hacker would have to agin access to forummotions OWN systems to do that....

so its all bloody paranoia and nonsense

Nobody passed them on Victor.

Allowing something that you know or suspect has been hacked to be posted (and stay posted) is a crime.

And anything of a very personal nature could have been in those pms, thank goodness it wasn't, (for example some people have given me their telephone numbers) so there is no paranoia about it.

Well I happen to think that was the object of the exercise Victor.   If the pms has been nasty, or offensive etc, it could have been about them.   But they were so minor, it could only have been to show that pms on this site weren't safe.   In fact, that was BA's point when he started it.   From what I understand the pms were actually to and from HA, so it is possible the HIS computer was hacked and they got them that way, but it certainly wasn't from him passing them on.

quite correct and although its not impossible
Non of the flappers has ever demonstrated the required technical expertise

for one they would have to be pretty good coders and given the demonstrated inability to implement a simple bit of code on deans part i would definitely discount him ....he isn't that smart
Also a linux box would be the Os to use not windows
But some pretty high understanding of network traffic protocols would be needed
IMHO people watch to many movies where 2 mins and a click of a button is all that is needed it really is not that simple

Hey Scrat I hear what your saying regards to Flap himself , but it may well be who he is dealing with which dictates wether or not he can act with a certain amount of decorum...

I know for sure he has been really sneaky with me , Irn and KD, and we just had Victor tell us he tried to hack his old forum.

I would like to think I could trust him Scrat, but I've always found him to be not only dishonourable, but devious, malicious and I can just picture him feeding information to Dumb and Dumber,,,

Some do say he is alright and what not, but like I say...I really think that all depends on who with!

i guess depends on who I made a gesture of peace around Christmas one of many over the years and not only was it thrown in my face,He then claimed credit for it ,even though he cannot implement it correctly hence the site looks like a bag of crap

I offered him a truce a good while ago and he done the same with me, yet he was the one to start all the shit..I thought never again...

When i offered him a truce before he said ' do want you like ' , he's never to be trusted, well certainly not by me.

It's disappointing when you give someone the benefit if the doubt hoping just maybe they have changed for the better in some way, only to have that thrown back in your face.

...and to think he uses that ridiculously ironic and bollocks heading on his forum....leave the Chips at the door.

Hate to argue will you Scrat, but there is no way round the fact that allowing hacked pms to be posted and not taking them down at the earliest opportunity is illegal.   No two ways about it.

Taking, posting or reposting hacked materials is a violation of the Computer Misuse Act of 1990 in the UK; and a violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the US.

I haven't informed the police YET, I am waiting to see what the Forumotion Litigation Department does. I have also been on their 'Forum of Forums' who have taken all the details and are awaiting the return of their Chief Administrator tomorrow. In case anyone doubts this, as I am sure you will, the verification email I received back from Forumotion reads:

Litigation validation to inaflap.forumotion.co.uk
Hello,

To validate the sending of the litigation to inaflap.forumotion.co.uk, please click on this link : http://ww2.forumotion.com/litigation/open/e2ff1774/18272/ .

If one of you gets ANYTHING hacked, I do hope you take it seriously, after all, your computer holds a lot of knowledge about you, and just because it was only pms that were published, does not mean that was the only information they took.

There is nothing wrong with "hope not hate", an organisation that stands against racial discrimination, that stands against Islamic and far right extremism.

And that excuses hacking does it? Perhaps Andy Coulson should have used that in his defence, after all, he didn't do the actual hacking, he just allowed it to be published.

How strange that it is always RW sites that are hacked into by filthy LW scum.

What a very odd thing to say, when it was THIS forums (slightly left wing) pms that were hacked into by someone of the RW persuasion on Flop (RW) and posted on Flop (RW)

Is there nothing you can get right Kaka?

What are you talking about?

I have confirmed that it is fake, not by clicking on anything, you buffoon!

How did you confirm it as fake Andy?

What evidence do you have that Hand Sandy is RW.

Just to put you completely straight Kaka (as if you didn't know), the pms were from Handy Andy to and from myself and Irn on this site and were posted by Hugh on Inaflap. The fact that Dean allowed them to be posted and didn't take them down is illegal, never mind the fact that they must have been obtained illegally in the first place. So I'm afraid you can twist and turn this all you like, those are the facts of the matter and that is what is being investigated.

Andy swears the PM's are fakes ...Eddie claims they are real.

One fake was created by Andy , just to show it had been done.

But one of the most interesting things on PMGate was that Eddie...you did say the other day that Sassy had lied about making that PM to HA...

As the PM contents were so I significant and a while back then why would Sassy remember that right away?

Why would that make her a liar?

You may have changed your tune on this since then though?

I've clicked on Sassy's link and it says: 'Impossible to validate this litigation.' And it doesn't take you anywhere, a dead box.

Sorry Sassy, but you'll need to come up with something more positive, otherwise you'll keep getting a lot of stick.
