Interest in Rife was revived in the 1980s by author Barry Lynes, who wrote a book about Rife entitled The Cancer Cure That Worked. The book claimed that Rife's 'beam ray' device could cure cancer, but that all mention of his discoveries was suppressed in the 1930s by a wide-ranging conspiracy headed by the American Medical Association. The American Cancer Society described Lynes' claims as implausible, noting that the book was written "in a style typical of conspiratorial theorists" and defied any independent verification.[5]

In response to this renewed interest, devices bearing Rife's name began to be produced and marketed in the 1980s. Such 'Rife devices' have figured prominently in several cases of health fraud in the U.S., typically centered around the uselessness of the devices and the grandiose claims with which they are marketed. In a 1996 case, the marketers of a 'Rife device' claiming to cure numerous diseases including cancer and AIDS were convicted of felony health fraud.[13] The sentencing judge described them as "target[ing] the most vulnerable people, including those suffering from terminal disease" and providing false hope.[14] In 2002 John Bryon Krueger, who operated the Royal Rife Research Society, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his role in a murder and also received a concurrent 30-month sentence for illegally selling Rife devices. In 2009 a U.S. court convicted James Folsom of 26 felony counts for sale of the Rife devices sold as 'NatureTronics', 'AstroPulse', 'BioSolutions', 'Energy Wellness', and 'Global Wellness'.[15]

Several deaths have resulted from the use of Rife machines in place of standard medical treatment. In one case, a U.S. court found that the marketer of a Rife device had violated the law and that, as a result of her actions, a cancer patient had ceased chemotherapy and died.[16] In Australia, the use of Rife machines has been blamed for the deaths of cancer patients who might have been cured with conventional therapy.[7]

In 1994, the American Cancer Society reported that Rife machines were being sold in a "pyramid-like, multilevel marketing scheme". A key component in the marketing of Rife devices has been the claim, initially put forward by Rife himself, that the devices were being suppressed by an establishment conspiracy against cancer "cures".[5] Although 'Rife devices' are not registered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and have been linked to deaths among cancer sufferers, the Seattle Times reported that over 300 people attended the 2006 Rife International Health Conference in Seattle, where dozens of unregistered devices were sold.[8]

where does it say that ?

and would you welcome pharma companies testing natural remedies if it meant curing cancer or are you just against alternative treatment altogether ?

@VOD
We (the Australian taxpayer) have already Tested a lot them.... they failed.

We have taxpayer funded clinical test unlike the USA we do not ask big Pharma to test they own stuff we do it our selves which is why more than half the drugs in the USA are illegal here because hey fail or have too serve side effects compare to their positive effect.

The ones that passed and we pay for as Medicine through the Pharmaceutical benefits scheme (PBS), that is the key difference between medicine/treatment and Alternative treatments and supplements. they failed so they are not allowed to call themselves medicine. Australia has some of the toughest false advertising laws so if you want to know if something is too good to be true see if it is advertised that way in Australia.

Interesting but no evidence it was the marijuana that helped the boy, which is why such claims are poor, because they take the view something has made them better when it may have had no affect at all

Oh for goodness sake Veya! So you dislike him, doesn't mean he wants people to die does it?

Are you saying you don't think pharma companies aren't getting very wealthy from (sometimes) unnecessary medicines?? Even if you don't believe in alternative therapy for cancer treatment, can't you even see that these big companies aren't greedy?

Eddie but such views can lead to people dying hence why it can make people annoyed, because what is being proposed is dangerous, for example would you be a happy for a 14 year old friend of your son who has no medical knowledge and is clearly inexperienced tell your son to take heroin, because he claims it is good for him? You would freak out because you would know it is dangerous and would no doubt ask your boy not to see him anymore. That is what is being proposed all the time from HF, someone with little medical understanding telling people dangerous incorrect views, which could prevent the from seeking the right medical care.

Do you have any knowledge of any Pharma companies or are you again going off what you think?

You see Eddie what I mean about someone with little medical understand and how dangerous they are, now you can understand why many get annoyed

HF Nobody is being forced, they are being given the best options, the only time need to make a decision, would be with parents who would be denying the best treatment for that child, mainly as they would hold absurd views like you..

didge the best treatment for this little boy was hemp oil it kept him cancer free , but they blocked his treatment and closed down the clinic. Do you think that is right when he was in remission or is it the correct thing to do cutting off his treatment and now he is dead .

so the chemo killed him after all then , but how can that happen ? its such a great treatment and is the only treatment that should be used according to you didge . They murdered him , they failed him with chemo and they didn't want hemp oil keeping him alive . The evidence was the little boy living a healthy happy life , what more do you want ?

Again there is no evidence the oil helped him, the fact is sadly again many people die from cancer of which some there is little that can be done.

there is evidence the boy wasn't eating and wasn't responding to chemo it was killing him slowly and painfully. His father gave him hemp oil through a tube in his stomach and he immediately improved and even started eating , the evidence was there to see it was the life coming back in a little boy ravished by chemo poison .

he was out of luck with chemo, the hemp oil was actually helping him improve but the money grabbing aholes, shut the hemp oil down as they would sooner see their pockets full and people die...

He died because he had cancer, there is no evidence the oil helped, sadly this boy had cancer which could not be saved in the end, basing your claim with no evidence is not a claim at all

At the moment, there simply isn’t enough evidence to prove that cannabinoids – whether natural or synthetic – works to treat cancer in patients, although research is ongoing. And there’s certainly no evidence that ‘street’ cannabis can treat cancer.

As a research-based organisation, we continue to watch the progress of scientists around the world for advances that may benefit people with cancer. And although cannabinoid research is an interesting avenue, it’s certainly not the only one.

Cannabinoid Therapeutics
Medical cannabis (also referred to as medical marijuana) is the use of cannabis and its constituent cannabinoids such as THC as a physician-recommended form of medicine or herbal therapy. The Cannabis plant from which the cannabis drug is derived has a long history of medicinal use, with evidence dating back to 2,737 BC.

Cashy is the youngest Medical Cannabis patient in the United States. We were able to replace seven scary and toxic drugs that were given to Cash as a nausea cocktail around the clock with 0.3 Milliliters of cannabis oil. At the time we decided to give Cash this safe and therapeutic medicine, he was so sick that he hadn’t eaten in over 40 days and was living on TPN and Lipids as intravenous nutrition, he vomited 8-10 times a day and could barely lift his head off the pillow. Within two weeks of receiving the oil, Cash was eating, laughing, and had a quality of life we hadn’t seen in months.

Cash survived septic shock, stroke, pulmonary hemorrhage, pulmonary hypertension, all side effects of the chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants he had received. We were told after his 4th cardiac arrest episode he would have brain damage, organ failure and that he would ultimately die. However, he did not die, and it was because of the cannabinoid therapeutics that he was receiving and their Antioxidant and Neuroprotectant capabilities.

Cashy is the first pediatric cancer patient to receive full cranial and spinal radiation without the use of any conventional nausea and pain medications. Once again Cashy has been given a quality of life that is not possible on pharmaceutical drugs and has had minimal side effects thanks to Cannabinoid Therapeutics and their patented Antioxidant and Neuroprotectant capabilities.

Until Cannabis and Hemp are fully legalized patients like Cashy will continue to suffer and die at an alarming rate. With Hemp Agriculture we can save our Environment, Create Green Industry and Guarantee that our children have posterity!
