why dont they get that they had a party rotten to the core (momentum) full of anti semnites, with a huge bucket full of unlikely freebies that were not really freebies, and that the public, far from being stupid are well aware of the cost of labour freebies

Indeed, but you are being soft on eilzel here, when he made views on gelico of being controlled by the media

As if she does not have a mind of her own

This is the excuses we constantly here

Its why Labour lost

Because Eilzel thinks like the current labour party

They look down on the working class and fail to see that they do

They hold themselves with a view of snobbery above the working class

Eilzels owes gelico an apology

http://www.newsfixboard.com/t28393-exit-polls-show-a-massive-conservative-majority#536707

Eilzel is basically saying Gelico has not a mind of her own

She even stated she does not watch the media, but he poorly slated here that she has no mind to think for herself

Its the worst form of snobbery and insulting her intelligence

This is why Labour lost the election badly. Like Eilzel, they insulting the working class of this country. Just as Eilzel did to gelico

Now i dont believe he intentionally did this, but its this kind of snobbery that is wrong here.

This is the problem with Corbynism

It has created a far worse divisive society, from his followers disdain for people that disagree with them

I respect Eilzel loads, but what he said to gelico. Sums up the mentality of the middle class socialist mindset

That they look down on people

You tell me mate?

Every excuse is coming out and many Jews on twitter are being blamed for the failures of corbynism and Momentum

I dislike Boris, but in this case, it was a no brainer to vote for the lesser of two evils

Corbyn has not even stood down yet.

that theme of voting for the lesser of two evils seems to be a recurrent one right across the country

People were faced with the issue of deciding which was the cleaner turd to pick up

My entire family is working class, didge. I'm from a working class area. Not that I mind if I personally am now considered middle class, they are just terms anyway.

Interesting stats:

Cons won 13,900,000 votes - that's only 300,000 more than 2017.

Labour won 10,000,000 votes - around 2,500,000 less than before.

Liberals won 1,200,000 more votes than in 2017, Green 300,000, Brexit around 800,000.

The SNP won mostly Labour seats.

Boris didn't win it. Labour lost it. With reform, they can crush it next time Smile

You have forgotten your origins as you are now middle class

The fact is you are like many Corbynistas, as much as you try to deny this you are

It was the Middle class that voted for Corbyn, not the working class

To say Boris did not win this and labour lost this. Again shows again the mentality of someone that has no comprehension of accepting defeat. They have to place a spin on this through numbers

Why not admit the reality is here. That the Uk said a big fuck off to far left socialism

You will not of course and will come out with every excuse under the book

You will of course use Brexit, even though that would have meant gains in Scotland, and yet labour were wiped out there

The fact is, Labour were wiped out because of Brexit, Corbyn and Corbynism. The later not formed from the working class, but from stuck up well off middle class socialists. Out of tune as you are with society

So much wrong.

The fact Labour lost 2.5 million votes and Tories won only 300,000 more shows Labour lost it. I agree it was about Corbyn and Brexit.

My family is working class, most voted Labour Rolling Eyes

Don't arrogantly claim I've forgotten my origins. I haven't. No more than any former working class voter who has switched to Tory.

lol you do this on numbers and base this off one election. Ignoring the turnout was higher in the previous election. Even though the number of people that signed up to eligible to vote was in favour for Corbyn of the younger class?

At times mate you are as bad as that wetwipe Owen Jones with the poor deluded crap you come out with lol

No arrogance, you have fogotten it, the way you acted like a elitist dick towards gelico

The fact you play the corbyn/momentum line that people were swayed by the media. Says everything that is wrong with how Labour and you are disingenuous on this. By claiming people are ignorant and led by the media.

I mean how insulting can you get towards gelico and the people of the UK

You wont take ownership of your complete fuckups in this election campaign

Are you reading what I'm saying?

Telling someone the middle class voted Labour only, and I have forgotten my roots, when most of my family are working class, IS arrogant.

I said Corbyn was largely to blame. Since you clearly aren't reading that, I'm done.

But you are no longer working class and neither am I

I though respect my roots and yet you do not

You took the view to chastise gelico and make poor unfounded claims upon here around the media

Just exactly as Labour has done throug the media

The biggest joke on this is Labour reached out more so massively on socially media than the Tories did

Corbyn, Corbynism, Brexit and more so the point I am eluding to here which you continually do ignore is this

Labour no longer represent the working class people, as they are nothing more than a bunch of stuck up bunch of Marxist snobs

They look down on people, unlike Labour of old. They view the north as racist for voting brexit. Labour tried to swoon the Middle class in Tory heartlands and lost. They cast aside the working class and lost for this. They took their vote for granted

I read what you said

Did you actually read what Gelico said to you?

Perhaps you are widely assuming what Les is, and what his past is, didge.
You can’t base a debate on what you presume.

Don’t you always say you need facts? Well Les gave his facts about his life yet you don’t accept them.

So you accept your assumptions over his facts?

Go figure.

WTF

Did you make this point when he presumed to Gelico being led by the media?

I never went off actually any facts here

I went off Eilzel and his presumptions

I went off the majority view of the working class here

I went off eilzel making poor excuses

So maybe you can explain to me on what planet I went off facts?

Or did I actually go off a major number of peoples views on this election

Did you actually read any of my posts Eddie?

That really summed it up for me. Not only did Eddie not read any of the conversation. Which was evident. As I never made any view to "facts", but simple a reality of the many views of the people in this election that voted against Labour. That had been never Tory seats in history. I based this off their views. I went off how Eilzel was going off the same tired line and excuses Labour has been given

Never once seeing themselves at fault but looking to blame others. With eilzel its the media and even worse stating gelico cannot think for herself. Making a false accusation she is led by the media

This is what is wrong. Eilzel and his far left apostles cannot admit to failings. They have to blame others

They fail to see this is why Labour got taken to the cleaners. Its because of people like him not being honest. That they truly and royally fucked up

That is why the Tories will now win the next election, because when people never own up to fuckl ups, they are never to be trusted

Not going to delete my account, but it was bad enough when eddie mocked my thread that was an apology

Its even worse when Eilzel uses this against me in a debate?

That is utterly low and beyond contempt. I have never been made to feel so insulted in regards to people i saw as friends

If this is how people are treated by Mods, and apologies given. To then be used against me. What is the fucking point of being here?

Just wanted to lance the SNP boil a bit... as the SNP got less votes and less seats in this 2019 election than they got in 2015... only getting 1.25 million votes...

And... in the Scottish independence referendum on UK membership... just over 2 million people in Scotland voted to stay in the UK!!!

Stop being so over dramatic.

Despite being immensely disappointed with the election result, I have I think completely avoided name calling or casting generalisations on anyone here who voted Tory or Brexit party. Why? Because doing so would not help matters.

Meanwhile I've listened to you and Devil throw every single generalosation at me and Labour voters in general and not responded in kind.

You spent the election saying I didn't care about Jews, and now I forgot my roots. Can't you just debate points without casting aspersions on people?

Next union flashpoint is NI, tommy.

First time more Nationalists voted in NI than Unionists. Sinn Fein already talking of a Border Poll for reunification.

Whatever the Tories allow, nationalism is growing in both countries, we can't deny the UK's days are numbered.

Eilzel wrote:

I apologised to you, (which you have now thrown under the bus) for me saying you do not care about Jews. That shows you did not care for my apology, which was from the heart where I knew i was in the wrong to say that and yet you now bring this up again. As if this validates your position on me

I did the right thing and admitted it was wrong to attack you for supporting Labour, when your heart was in the right place. I made this very clear. For you to still go off this, shows again what I think is wrong with Corbyn disciples like yourself. It does not matter what I say, you will believe only what you want to believe like any religious radical foilower of a cult.

What you will not do is admit, Labour under Corbyn was a disaster. You seek to blame others. You seek to look down on people and quite frankly. You are now not worthy of any respect and neither is Eddie.

Own what you say.

For you to turn this back to me and not realise people have differing views to you on this and when challenged?

What did you do?

Throw my apology back in my face

It shows you have not learnt a damn thing here. I do not want to see any divide, but its clear, you are in denial of the problems in labour

I had better responses from hard core labour posters, than i did from you here. Which says more about you than me. I am going away now for a while and it is down to you and Eddie shitting on me. For simple being critical towards your views. I cannot beloieve you just shat all over my apology which was heart felt.

"The sad reality is that Labour membership has been overrun by Momentum supporters. They hold the majority view and why you have seen a bloodless "night of the long knives" by them . Of all Labour MP's at odds with their views. Metaphorically cutting off the head of the snake (Corbyn) will not solve the issue here, whilst Momentum are in control via numbers of membership. Its up to Labour supporters to join the party and regain control from them[/quote]

Its up to Labour supporters to join the party and regain control from them

OK.

Exit Polls Show a Massive Conservative majority - Page 4 Empty Re: Exit Polls Show a Massive Conservative majority

Post by Fred Moletrousers on Sat Dec 14, 2019 11:33 am

I have to say that I was dumfounded at the result. Until the early hours of Friday morning I would still have put money on a hung parliament and I had initially thought that it might have resulted in Corbyn heading a "rainbow coalition" government which would have collapsed within three months because his cabinet would have been utterly unable even to agree on whether to have Hob Nobs or Jammy Dodgers on the table at their meetings.

Then came the exit poll...

Since I'm not going to enter into this thread's personality clashes, all I'm going to say is: Les, when you claim that "Boris didn't win it, Labour lost it" you are absolutely 100 per cent wrong. You can bugger around with statistics all you like - they come out of the same box as lies and damn lies - but when the Tories took seats such Blyth, Blair's old constituency Sedgefield, the Beast's lair of Bolsover (I'm going to miss that old rascal Dennis Skinner) and, above all so far as I'm concerned, Rother Valley...not known for nowt as part of the one time People's Democratic Republic of South Yorkshire and where my red flag waving uncle was Mayor of Rotherham many, many years ago...then, by God, Boris's party really did win the election. Big time.

For God's sake look at the sheer number of Tory seats and the size of some of the majorities!

And since the matter of class origins has been raised here, I can tell you now that when it comes to real working class, not a single one of you can outrank me.

He still only barely mustered little more than May.
Of course Boris 'won', I don't disagree.

He better do a bloody good job as PM now, cause in 2024 those former Labour voters won't be lending him Brexit votes Wink

The actual number of people voting is not the principle criterion so far as loss or failure are concerned; it is where on the voting paper those votes go that matters. The Tories did not do well in London - for many, complicated reasons - but for the Tories to gain so much support throughout the whole of the rest of England and Wales simply cannot be watered down to the status of a mere technical victory and exercise in manipulated statistics.

And yes, many of those votes are indeed "on loan" and Boris clearly accepts that. But I'm pretty certain that his future legislative programme will fully recognise the fact. Indeed, I hope that it will.

The man may well be something of a buffoon...but it would be a very, very unwise person to take him as an idiot.

I think you will find boris did win, and with a thumping big majority and it is entirely because the lib dems and labour cannot handle losing as they feel the rest of us are beneath them. Steve Cooghan summed up labour perfectly in that car crash interview he did on the night before the election where he called everyone who voted for brexit stupid. the left have been telling anyone who does not fall into line to fuck off and vote tory, so they did

I am sure there will be something in the coming month when all the data is analysed.
Saying that it is almost impossible to find a complete list of the election results to the candidate level in a downloadable form at the moment. It is unbelievable that the gov site or the electoral commission does not have a pdf or xls file available now.

Purging libraries, removal of e-books from inventories, deboosting social media accounts, shaddowbanning, blocking/demonetising YouTube channels, deplatforming speakers and violent protests at political hustings are all tactics that have been employed recently in the UK and in every case, is has been the authoritarian "left" that has been behind it.
Both Italian Fascism and German National Socialism have their origin in the left and both explicitly stood against the values of individual freedom and self reliance that have formed the backbone of "right wing" liberal philosophy since John Locke and John Stuart Mill thrashed out the basics.

"the Fascist conception of life stresses the importance of the State and accepts the individual only in so far as his interests coincide with those of the State, which stands for the conscience and the universal, will of man as a historic entity. Sorry to say this (and is rather tongue in cheek) but they lend credence to one of tommys more crazy ideas......

Not crazy at all... when you think about it...

Ah... and I just saw Victor's latest post above... that explains more of what I've claimed for years...

He better do a bloody good job as PM now, cause in 2024 those former Labour voters won't be lending him Brexit votes Wink
he has 365 seats, may managed 317, even that fool foot got 209 after his longest suicide note in history. britain has rejected cobynism for the last almost 50 years now. But by all means lurch even further left and stay unelectable

If you read anything properly, you'd see I and many Labour voters have blamed Corbyn and a lurch left is unlikely. The future, as after 1992, will be to become electable again.

Obbiously Johnson 'won' I never said he didn't, but he won owing to the failings of Labour, not his own dazzling performace. If that were the case he'd have crushed May's numbers, but he didn't.

PS: from Ashcroft poll on demographics:

Labour won more than half the vote among those turning out aged 18-24 (57%) and 25-34 (55%), with the Conservatives second in both groups. The Conservatives were ahead among those aged 45-54 (with 43%), 55-64 (with 49%) and 65+ (with 62%).

As you expected?

@coyleneil

In 2005 Tony Blair won a third consecutive general election for Labour with a majority of 67. Jeremy Corbyn & John McDonnell called for him to resign. In 2019 they helped hand Boris Johnson a majority of 80 & still have not had the decency to go. A shameless insult to voters.

Wow, Labour MP's are not holding back now of their disdain of the far left in Labour

DYKbrain is simply showing what an incompetent fool he is...

After displaying his anti-science pro-corporatist mentality with his silly anti-climate propaganda over the weekend,  now he is further proving that he is both illiterate and anti-statistics/anti-maths, as well --  the silly dunce simply can't count..

He is increasingly proviing that his political 'expertise' is worlds away from the political realities.
