Am all ears Gelico, how you believe its an active choice?

Did you allow family into your life, or where they already there? Did you allow any friends into your life, or did you both subconciously come to enjoy each others company and simple became part of each others life? When people love a partner. Are they choosing them, or is love subconciously already made them a part of their lives? When peopole propose. Have they subconciously seen themselves together married and subconciously the choice has been made before being asked? Herew again to turn down would be an active concious choice to turn down. I can go on, but can you see my point Gelico?

People do so subconciously. They do not sit their and make a list of their friends. As these are people they have come to know.
So again its not an active choice. In fact there is plenty of scientific evidence behind people matching towards other people. as friends similar to them in  traits through their subconcious.

Stopping to see someone is a concious active choice. As the choices are in regards to who you do not allow into your life. The ones that are, already have been as friends already. You never made a choice here activelly. It simple happened over time through your subconcious

well, i don't know about you didge, but i am very much aware of the choices i make.  it isn't a subconscious thing

But are you Gelico? When you lift up your own arm. Did you command it to do so or did you subconciously do so?

I really do not think many of you here actually see how many acts we do are subconcious and are not really active choices

Hence why I made many points gelico to you

You may think they are active choices, but in reality they are not

Its many negative choices that are active choices

Like I said, when often people save lives, its often based off a subconcious reaction, without due care for the individual themselves.

So, do you care to actually address my points gelico?

Not really interested in what you think you do, but how and what you understand you do

didge all i can say is yes of course many of our actions or thoughts are in the sub conscious but if you are aware of making decisions and also aware of why you are making those decisions then it has to be a conscious act not a subconscious.

and i'm not talking about lifting up my arm or saving someone's life.

the comment was about chosen people, ie the people one chooses to associate with/bond with/love

that is definitely a conscious choice

although the reasons for making that particular choice maybe subconscious, ie ''i dont like that person, i don't know why, i just don't''

You actively decide every time you meet someone and get to know them a bit and don't turn up to the party or the barbecue or whatever they invited you to. You also decide by not inviting them to a party or a barbecue or whatever.

You do these things because there's something lacking in them; you're not drawn to them or interested enough to become closer.

I would say that it's probably a decision most people don't consciously think about; they don't say to themselves, "I don't want to be his/her friend," but they do make decisions that distance themselves from the people they don't want to be closer with, and those decisions add up to deciding who you want to be friends with.

Poinst highlighted are true as they are active thoughts.
Nobody though actively thinks and decides on friends they actually have within their lives, because again they are already there in their lives.

I agree that people make decisions to distance themselves. But how often do people make these decisions when they have friends in their lives on whether to have them in their lives or not? It simple does not happen, because they are already in their lives. Whether someone is held in higher esteem maters very little here. It is again as i stated only when people hold netagive views that they make conscious decisions. To distance themselves away from people they do not like

For example, the pair of you have invited many people to meet you. Which was always subconscious decisions, because you already get along.
Yet you dont see me in the same light, because i can be negative and why you have been and made excuses to not arrange to meet

Its why I really sigh when Eddie says she is honest, because in reality she is not. As we have spoken about meeting many times and she has constantly put this off. Which leads me to two conclusions. Either you have an issue Ben or Eddie does. Or that you simple are being nice to my face. Which is not an issue. Which I know is the later. If you were honest, your subconscious would have invited me long ago. Yet you have activelly stalled and avoided this.

So when I say I understand people and when they bullshit. I know exactly what they mean up front and subsconsiously. As the later makes for a siatutaion that does not require a decision. A negative view point alwqays requires a conscious decision.

By the by, not having a go over whether you have invited me. Just making a point around how people make subconscious decisions

Vic and his wife came over and so did Gels.

We have been mega busy, trying to have fun and get enough sleep so I can go to work.

Stop looking into things that aren’t there. When he’s over for good, we will have more time and we will meet up.

Didge, we hung out with some of our closest friends tonight for the first time in nearly a month. If we haven't had you over or come out to meet you, it's purely down to logistics, which unfortunately does prevent people from becoming friends sometimes.

You have had at least 180 days Ben. Please dont try and pull the wool over my eyes.

Just be honest, I am not going to be offended, as again i was simple making a point in regards to people makimng active and subconscious decisions. What I dislike is when people bullshit and you are doing this now. So dont insult me, I am not an idiot

That because i only bring this up now the pair of you make excuses based on being busy. Its how I know and understand we are simple acquaintances and nothing more.

I am not offended by that. Respect this and already knew this. I simple again would rather you be honest about this

So dont try to bullshit me Ben and claim losgistics. That has to be the lamest excuse.

I just know when people are not honest

If in 180 days you cannot spare a few hours to meet someone. Then clearly that person stands on the lower pecking order of relevance in your lives.

Which is okay. I am not offended, just simple calling out people and hoping they would at least be honest, but they wont. Because again they do not want to be seen in a bad light.

Point of order. Nobody is going to care or be bothered, that you have not hooked up with me.

Dude, seriously. We don't have a car. Eddie's been working her ass off at her job, trying to meet the financial requirement to get me over here. It's not avoidance -- it's lacking the time and resources to make it happen. And sometimes even with people who are quite close, life happens.

When things are more settled, let's come back to this and try to work out a way to meet up somewhere for a pint. Okay?

How is the above proving my points incorrect?
As again when someone saves a life they do this on gut instinct in the heat of the moment

Postive decisions are born from already view inside people to good. They already feel this way. Hence its a very easy to step then for people to make a decision. Just like your daughter. In her heart she wanted to help people in Africa. The choice had already been made in her heart. What I bet and what held her back before making this decision. Was on hurting people close to her by leaving. Without this conflict she would have no doubt left ages ago to help out. The decision was already made in here heart as i say and it was negative impacts from this that conflicted for her.

Now gelico, you have to explain why you think I am wrong on this, but the reality is postitive decisions made already start within ourselves through our subconscious. It could well be many negative decisions are made also subconsciously, but to me would be driven by poor emotions

Would you like some evidence on this?

Science daily wrote:
Contrary to what most of us would like to believe, decision-making may be a process handled to a large extent by unconscious mental activity. A team of scientists has unraveled how the brain actually unconsciously prepares our decisions. "Many processes in the brain occur automatically and without involvement of our consciousness. This prevents our mind from being overloaded by simple routine tasks. But when it comes to decisions we tend to assume they are made by our conscious mind. This is questioned by our current findings."

So not so insance after all eh Gelico?

Its the thought that counts to be invited. Which they kept going on about at some point meeting up. Maybe I am tpo blame and should have also suggested a time when they were free.
It never actually happened from them though to actually ask me when I was free. To book for the future.
Again which is cool, I was simple making a point and have no hard feelings against either of them

Sooo, Quill make a very funny joke, which made me laugh and provided Gelicdo with an excuse to fail to actually counter my science based reasoning.

One moment

Bwahahahahahahaha

And she called my views insane and ridiculous

Mwahahahahahahaha

Silly child lol!

Indeed, you got invited, so did Victor, no doubt Eizel when he came back home for the holidays also, but I must be down in the pecking order it seems lol.
Which is cool, I just reallty destest when people make poor excuses.
Its the thought that counts to be invited. Which they kept going on about at some point meeting up. Maybe I am tpo blame and should have also suggested a time when they were free.
It never actually happened from them though to actually ask me when I was free. To book for the future.
Again which is cool, I was simple making a point and have no hard feelings against either of them
.

Not to worry,  doddery Didge...

If you're ever in this part of the world,  I have a couple of sheds down the back where you could always unroll your sleeping bag..

And if you ventured down veya's way, I'm sure he could find a spot for you to pitch a tent --  where you could have the local deer, 'roos, rabbits and spiders for company.

not really didge, it says the same thing i mentioned before that subconscious work goes on in the background in order to arrive at that decision, but the decision itself is a conscious thought

although the reasons for making that particular choice maybe subconscious

we are actually in agreement here

i found it interesting, thank you

You are welcome. Gelico I know at times I can say some daft things, but this was not one of those occasions.
I do have a good working understanding of many things.
Hardly insane or ridiculous then?
