Meet the woman born a boy, who is as confused by the new gender rules as the rest of us

What it means to be a man or a woman has never been more confusing. And neither has the language used to discuss it. Take the heated public debate of late about the provision of gender-neutral toilets in schools, the inclusion of the non-binary honorific, Mx, on official council forms, and the suggestion that the Office of National Statistics may not require respondents to specify ‘male or female’ on the 2021 census.

Genderquake, a two-part Channel 4 series starting on Monday, may muddle things yet further by gathering, in a Big Brother-style house, 11 young Britons whose gender “identification” is not necessarily clear, even to them.

Posters will have to guess what the rest of the article says. Or you have to sign up to the Telegraph to read the rest, or simple watch the series on channel 4

tongue

They could make things simpler on official/government forms...

Simply make the 'Gender' field read :

Male
Female
Other
(give further details below, or tick "Don't want to say" box).

As for that "Mx" honorific,  that sounds like "mix",  as in "all mixed up.."  !     Wink
