Headteacher bans pupils from touching the snow.
Some schools ban kids from throwing snowballs, this headteacher has gone one better....the kids are forbidden to even touch the snow.
"As snow continues to fall across Britain, multiple schools have implemented bans on snowball fights - but one headteacher has taken it a step further and banned students from touching snow altogether.
Headteacher Ges Smith is already being mocked for his decision to ban students from touching snow over what he claims are “health and safety” concerns."

What is the world coming to?
Kids love snow...making snowmen and throwing snowballs.
Some people drain all the fun out of everything.

It's because do gooders have ruined all the fun for kids. Might just as well put a glass dome over them.
The thing as well is if anyone fell over, got hit by a snowball, some parents would complain. I feel sorry for kids nowadays.

Could be why a record number of youngsters suffer from stress and anxiety....they are not allowed to be kids anymore.

I agree Syl. We used to come in with scrapes on knees, bruises etc. Now kids dont do what kids do, enjoy themselves, get dirty rolling over grass down hills and so on, its utter nonsense.

When I was young I had a really horrible older sister.
One day it had snowed a lot, she was whinging she couldn't go to school because she couldn't walk in the snow, she was hanging on to the windowsill for dear life, trying to get my mum to let her have the day off school.
I loved the snow...leapt off the step whooping loudly, landed on my arse, got soaking wet and had to go back in to change....my horrible older sister stood there smirking.
The lesson is though....snow is fun.

Don't schools have to ask parents to come in to put plasters on kids knees these days. I thought teachers were expected to be in locus parentis, they were to us, at least in primary school, they picked us up, cleaned us off, washed and dressed any grazes, dried our tears and gave us a cuddle or a row as the case may be.

She's with the government and a well educated person at that. She knows what's best. Shut up and pay your taxes.

Please correlate how a country bumpkin compared to someone that lives within a city would be any different if they were stupidly radically left wing?
What has the number of houses where someone livews got to do with people being shit scared of libel claims based on dumb health and safety laws?

Well, people with different lifestyle do tend to look at things differently.
A Texas rancher, has a different perspective than a person living in a highrise in Dallas.

You mean class and basically snobery then?
You will look down on him and they will look down on you?
How does that solve anything?
Is it born from poor sterotypes?

No, I mean rural and urban lifestyles tend to create different outlooks, regardless of income. I don't do class. I'm American.

But it is class still, as your outlook of people in cities is still based on a class system
It may not be one based on wealth, but its based on what kind of lifesyle people live
Tribalism

They're not allowed to hug children, hold their hands, nor change clothes etc Vin, those days are gone.
Such a sad thing over the hugs as some kids never get a hug from their parents.

Yes its sad, I know children need to be protected but they need some actual human contact as well.
Sometimes, I end up with people sobbing their hearts out and all I can really do now is offer them a tissue and any soothing words I can think of.

Re: Headteacher bans pupils from touching the snow.
There have been several cases of kids getting severely sunburned when they have gone on holidays or days out with the school.
Teachers are told not to help kids apply sun creams.
The world has gone mad.

He may well be Gel, but he has gone a bit OTT here warning the kids not to even touch the snow.
