A Chair On The Beach
First topic message reminder :
"A Chair on the Beach" starts off as a humorous video but it leaves you thinking deeply about life.
Not everyone gets the same message, but some popular reactions include; open your life up to new experiences, leave your comfort zone to enjoy something wonderful, don't care what other people think, and always be willing to communicate and compromise.

Quill, Veya and Wolf; do you guys ever disagree with each other?
You’re like a triplet of one thought.

Maddog happily ignores the fact that more American citizens rely on charity compared with other Western countries for one simple reason -- the USA's totally fucked and failing barely-there welfare system...
While his libertarian freedom to give, or not, means that much of that charity is only going into favoured charities -- and rarely ends up where it's most needed..
When in doubt, follow the money trail.
But I was right about the US being the most charitable. You were wrong again comrade. No doubt you are used to that.

I think an American stole the blow up doll they shared and they have never forgiven an entire country.

That’s what I don’t get; surely there are times when posters disagree even if they’re on the same wing or agree with someone on the opposite wing?
Otherwise I don’t see that people are actually being individuals.

Wolf and I go back to early 2008. We have lots of disagreements. It's just that we can do it quite civilly. Eds, what you are measuring is rudeness, not disagreements. On the internet you get used to equating disagreement with rudeness. Truth is, you can disagree without being rude. Wolf and I have fun with discussion, even disagreement, whereas others are frightened by it.
Veya brings a freshness of opinion to the table. Unlike a lot of Europeans, he's energetic and full of ideas. I understand he's a teacher...it shows. He's enthusiastic about ideas, and they flow through him readily. His students must love him.

I don’t think Veya is a teacher, you might be mistaking him for Les?
And yes, you are mostly polite. Posters that just resort to names are not so polite.

He’s in something to do with IT and education. I remember talking to him about schools having tablets. I think he designs software for education?
I’ve seen all 3 of them disagree with each other in the past.

My tablet likes to change words round, if I don't check what the post says before I send it can look very odd indeed.
I often see my name written as SLY....some do it deliberately, but most don't. (hopefully)

Spell it backwards...that's how Les came up with it.

You must’ve seen his name a hundred times or more when it’s quoted on threads?!
You’re getting senile, Sylvia.

I did in the Living forever thread
Wolf and Me are both LW Aussies so we are going to often have a similar outlook.
And Quill is just a smart educated man so he often agrees with LW Aussies

I don't know about that. At least in the news section, you will often see people agree on one topic and disagree on another. Here, if I say something anti Trump, it's crickets from the lefties, because they can't be seen agreeing with me. They will just skip that thread and move on. You, Rag and Eddie are really the only three that are not very predictable.
Oh, and Didge. He will insult me on one thread and agree with me on the other, but he's in a league of his own.

Nothing to do with you not being in agreement at all in regards to that thread..
Seems you need to go to specsavers, as I stated clearly why over what you said in a post to me.

I would share a chair with many people, even somebody who cannot admit they said something poor and wrong.
Not even concerned that you apologize, only that you recognize what you insinuated was crossing a line.
Not once but twice
It showed to me, your argument was weak, because instead you tried to get at me with claims born out of the Cathy Newman school
I always move on, this is more about why, I always admit when wrong and even apologise when I have said something poor.
You however, do not openly recognise you did say something poor and even worse place the onus on me here to move on.
Does that mean, I have to continually be the better person moving on when wronged?
So if I say something poor, I admit it was poor and move on. Though when people cross a line with me in what they say, I have to forgive them and move on.
Is that not trying to take advantage of my kind nature?
