This is an event that hasn’t happened for about 150 years. It’s the second full moon in a month, which makes it a “blue moon” it’s also a blood moon and a supermoon (it appears closer) it’s also partially eclipsed.

I was going to do a whole astrology hoo-ha about it but I haven’t had the time.

It was awesome. Last night was my late night at work and driving home everything had a blue light/haze from the moon. Should’ve stopped and taken a picture.

I always don’t sleep well when there’s a full moon and last night no different. I was born under a full moon though so maybe a connection?

Just peeked out but the moon is white. Such a beautiful and mystical thing to see. Always there, always with us and taken for granted.

This moon is full in Leo, your opposite sign. Lots going on within.

Full moons are also renowned for making peopke a little edgy or emotional anyway, at least from my experience. It can also make dreams more lucid but it’s usually a time of shining a light wihtin and seeing a truth.

But, you know....I’m just a whackadoodle hippy with a head full of stardust.

I did quite a bit of mooning in my time - usually out of the rear window of my RAF rugby team bus to the strains of that particularly disgusting song "The ballad of Oscar"..................

Yep, that looks like me circa 1962...all together now:

"There was a Spanish lady, all dressed up for a ball,
When she espied old Oscar tossin' off behind a wall..."

I decline to proceed further on the grounds that my reputation as a gentile old English country squire will be irrevocably damaged.....

I get the edgy from patrons at full moon times. They really go nuclear weird. I will agree about the dreams. I had a few belters last night, so clear, I swear I could taste and smell, but can I remember them? Hell no.

Yes you are, but you’re our whackadoodle hippy chick afro

Pity you can’t remember your dreams, even a vague recollection might help.

Unfortunately, much of coastal New South Wales was clouded over, with drizzling rain, last night...

It appeared here briefly between clouds at around 2pm, tbh it just looked like a full moon to me, but it did light the street up very well.

Clear skies and a beautiful bright, white moon.

I doubt the moon had anything to do with it. Rolling Eyes

Tonight, over N/W England, there is a much better chance of seeing it as the skies will be clear.
Its not as big as last night...but its still 98%....so not much different.

It’s still huge and so close here. This morning it stayed visible until after 8am. Forgot to get a picture though.

Here’s some from my back patio tonight. The second is magnified by 10.

It's so long ago that any photos would probably have been taken by someone using a Kodak box Brownie on roll film that would by now have faded into an unidentifiable blur...thank God!

Such a clear beautiful night. On the way to work this morning, I somehow pulled a muscle from my head to my knee. After a emergency massage, sat in our hot tub and saw a shooting star. That makes me feel better. Now for some tiger balm and a heating pad! (Zoom in to see the stars)

Have a great weekend peeps x
