Oh wow. I’m not a sci-if or fantasy fan, but I did like some of her books. She was a HUGE advocate for libraries. Many of my patrons are going to be so sad.

RIP Ms. Guin Sad

I loved Wizard of Earthsea as a kid.

I still says she is a better fantasy author than Tolkien or Rowling

RIP

study

She was big (relatively speaking, for a S.F. author..) back in the 1960s, '70s, into the '80s...

I was never a big fan, only read a handful of her books; including "The Left Hand of Darkness" back in the 1970s, but I only dimly remember it, so might have to revisit it one day..

R.IP.  Ursula Le Guin.

always found her work a bit heavy.

I prefer the more thought provoking works of Joe Haldeman (The Forever War) and Jack Mc Devitt (The Engines of God series)
