And going than ever!

I'm very glad to have gotten to know some great posters here, and been able to continue debating with some of the same people I've know since Sky.

Cheers Ben Smile

Long may NF continue king

hey you, my daughter wants to go to Thailand to teach English. Can I ask you, did you make arrangements through some kind of agency or did you just rock up there and ask?

curious as to how it happened for you

hope married life is treating you well

Hey Geli x

Very well, only the same amount of arguments as pre marriage tbf lol!

If your daughter wants to teach English here she needs to have a degree and some kind of certification to teach English as a second language. I'll PM you some details if you like.

she wants to do it in Thailand. she saw something on line and rang to get details. it required a deposit of about £250 as they said they had many people apply. they said that she will get a certificate at the end. she will get her accomodation free and paid about £800 per month but eating out and such is very cheap

does that sound right to you?

Sounds like what one of the schools here offers. So she does the course with them and then they provide a job, right?

Sounds good.

I did it differently. I was living here already and did a course then got a job later.

as far as i can make out she trains when she gets out there. i think they spend about a week or two getting acclimatised and attending Thai classes to get the basics. then 120 hours of hands on teaching but with someone else then doing it on her own. i think it's 6 months and she gets a certificate and can then choose to extend her time there, or transfer to a different country

sounds good

5 years?

What have we all learnt truley about each other?

I will tell you what we have learnt

We have learnt to bond, as others have done so in the past.

That is the success story of this forum

We may row and argue and at times even have some people be hateful, but its created a community that is drawn to each other for good and bad. No matter what each of us think of each other, we are drawn here together and that can only be a good thing.

That is what this forum should be proud of, that we have stuck together.

Here is to 5 more years of bickering, compassion and being a forum family.

Ha! They all got eaten. And won’t be on the menu for a few weeks. I’ll try and give advanced notice next time. But ONLY if you send pork pies and quavers in return.

Actually it’s been nice not cooking for a few days. Thursday I was tired, Friday I took out one of my volunteers and his family for good burgers as it was his 21st birthday and yesterday my great aunt and uncle were in town so mum took us out for a nice lunch. I had scallops with polenta cakes and green beans. It was trés yummy. Tonight we’re having Parmesan and rosemary crusted pork chops.

Now back to Reilly. Dude, Where’s Our Cake?

Seriously though, and by your pictures, you must be a great cook Cass..

I think you put heart and effort into cooking, where you make it into an art.

Just bloody send me some of your cooking, as you constantly make me yearn for your food.. Cool
