Trump’s Sanctuary City Order Is Unconstitutional, Court Rules

Post by Didge on Tue Nov 21, 2017 7:45 am

The California court declared the order “unconstitutional on its face” and issued a permanent injunction against it.

Of course. If a president could unilaterally withhold funds for a program he didn't like, think of the implications. For example, a pacifist president could refuse to fund the Defense Department.

O Joy! Let's also do away with the Department of Justice, and let all the criminals go free. Also, if this new-found power goes to withholding funds, why not payment of funds elsewhere. Say, the funds withheld from the Defense Department, go to the Environmental Protection Agency.

We have California courts for the going free of criminals

Progress, Russ, progress. Let's take this new-found power to withhold funds, and extend it to withholding freedom for war criminals...say, Dick Cheney, for one.
