the donald trump and brexit appreaction thread

Post by smelly-bandit on Wed Sep 13, 2017 4:45 pm

im sure this will be considered spamming and ill no doubt be immediately banned (again) already had the first warning shots from lord foul and eddie

however, if a Donald trump tantrum thread is allowed then surely an appreciation thread should be allowed??

And hopefully the like-minded 'No_Independent Thoughts' will drop by soon to add some of his usual brand of warm-hearted, inspirational and enlightened tidbits to Smellybum's playpen...

We don't want SB feeling all alone, 'debating with himself down here now,  do we  ?!?

it's all a bit weird in America

it's looking like an awful lot of voter fraud being uncovered right now (in favour of clinton of course). she had a book signing gig and some woman filmed herself asking clinton ''what happened to the 33,000 bleached emails? what happened to all the $$$$$Ms that should have gone to Haiti?''. she got escorted away

what i can't get is given the rather dismal choice at the time of trump or clinton, why would anyone in their right mind vote clinton?

so if the left have their dreams come true and trumpy gets slotted, or drops down dead with heart attack or something,,,,,who the hell would take charge? clinton is evil beyond belief with the things she has done,,,

i dont think he's doing such a bad job right now but the hysteria is beyond belief

even cass said she cut off from family and friends who voted trump

whoever would have thought cass could be so extreme?

it's quite unbelievable really

As unbelievable as you believing that Clinton was involved in a Pedophile ring based on fake news you bought into Gelico?

Why are you now attacking Cass?

Have I disowned you for your poor views Gelico?

No

I doubt Cass would either, but neither of us live in the US do we?

I do not support her shutting off people, as to me that is wrong, but I think its piss poor to suck up to Smelly off the back of someone who has only been ever nice to you. To make such a point

Do you really think she would shun you?

You and I have no idea whether Trump is doing a bad or good job.

You want him to do well, as you have bought his views. Does that mean I disown you?

No

I think you have sucked up to smelly so badly, you have come out very poorly.

This man celebrated at children, Palestinian children dying in a bus that crashed and thought it was hilarious. You yourself condemned him for doing so

Dont suck up gelico, you are your own woman

You want to back Trump?

Good for you

Wow, talk about deflecting away from your own stupidity here

I could not care less about flap, just cut your crap about Cass, claiming she is extreme.

Talk about trying to worm out from the crap and your hero worship of what is essentially a complete moron in Trump

I mean both Hilary and Trump are idiots, you though bought into fake news about her like with the Paediophile ring news invented by the alt right, which everyone knows that they did invent it.

And you claimed to have a mind of your own?

Hilary is as much of an idiot as Trump, but you seem to fail to notice his idiocy?

Seriously?

Where did you fail to notice the many poor beliefs he held?

When you were buying into fake news crap about Hilary I guess?

Now if she has committed a crime, then she should be prosecuted, the same as Trump, but I see no view here that Trump may have from you.

Why is it that Gelico

Or are you two busy facing New York 5 times a day praying?

try to stop being so childish and one dimensional didge and see what i'm saying - btw cass is just one person but i've seen on video as i'm sure you have too of other americans declaring i'm not speaking to this person or that person. it has caused a lot of division so cass is hardly in a minority on this

like i said before folk had two choices trump or clinton

so i suspect many people who voted trump did so for reasons other than white supremecy, racism etc, especially the black women who voted for him

unless cass suddenly discovered that her erstwhile good friends were in fact members of a nazi group or kkk then i think it's incredibly sad that anyone can just disown family. i most certainly disagree with members of my family over politics but could never in a million years disown them and not talk to them again. cass is entitled to choose her own path and has no reason to defend her actions but,,,do i consider her actions to be extreme? yes.

and here's the issue for cass and anyone else on the trump vent thread to answer,,,,

if trump died tomorrow,,who do they think is fit to take the reins?

see no one is able to say ''hillary clinton should be president, she rocks'' why? because no one would fucking dare, because they can't, because she's been exposed again and again for being a lying, thieving, racist, stinking, hypocritical fraud (well, kind of exposed herself really)

so the poor americans are left with trump, woe is them, and the left's answer is to smash up statues and make up russian hacking stories etc

no one's actually got an answer have they?

strange,,,,

Sigh...

Ok.

The reason I cut off family and friends after they voted for Trump. I could not stand the infinite forwarded emails, memes, social media posts that were ugly, disturbing on so many levels, full of dangerously inaccurate information and frankly downright hateful. I have plenty of family & friends on all sides of the political spectrum but this crap sunk to the lowest level. They were not best friends or close family, but I decided that I didn't want their negative crap in my life.

I'm sure they don't miss me anymore than I miss them.

Thank you Cass and more to the point how as seen people poorly jump to the wrong conclusions.

That was not being extreme at all.

I hope Gelico apologizes.

1)  Then i misunderstood as i thought they were people you had previously been very close to and very fond of
2)  sorry if you got offended, it wasn't intended and you have no real need to explain anything, i hope i already made that clear

thank you though, it has made it much clearer

Nope not offended at all. I just hate to be the cause of an argument between people.

There are 2 friends who I thought were close, we worked together for a bit, but after I left we drifted apart. When this stuff started happening I just let it go permanently. I see enough of it elsewhere and deal with it at every day work with patrons that I feel that in my own life, I'm entitled to be around those I want to be and who's personal thoughts about a huge variety of issues align more or less with mine.

Usually I have let it go, but sometimes you have to take a stand and draw a line. At least that is my opinion.

you have put a different perspective on it to be honest

out of curiousity dont you ever argue your side? i dont mean in any kind of heated aggressive way but i just mean putting your point across or pointing out something about trump or whatever,,,,,or do you just grit your teeth and let them get on with it

cos for me you've always seemed reasonable but kind of thought you would argue your cause,,,,,or did you just get sick of it all?

like i said i'm just curious how you feel

I do sometimes. But not at work. Ever. I'm not allowed to. I buy books by certain authors or on topics that I personally loathe but I do not let my own feelings get in the way. It would go against professional ethics. Having worked in smaller communities, it can be both a blessing and a curse. I would never work where I live, just like police really, as you get drawn into the daily drama and small town politics. I care deeply about the community I currently work for, fighting every day for resources for them, but 98% of them would not be my friends for a variety of reasons, not just politics. This is why I won't accept their friends requests on Facebook.

To be honest, I got sick of it all a few forums ago. Nothing I say will really change the mind of the person I'm speaking too. In the run up to the election and since, when I've chanced upon something on the TV news (which I try to avoid like the plague) I do go on a rant, much to Mr.C's vast amusement, but now it's really just blowing off steam.

I fight for the causes I believe in, I just don't feel the need to go on and on about them.

I look at these forums as a type of social interaction. They came about when Mr.C was away in hot and dangerous places and was fun, sometimes a bit informative and again a good place to blow off steam when I was on my own with the boys. Because of our life then, my friends didn't always live around the corner but I was lucky in that 2 neighbors were fanbloodytastic and friends to this day, who were always good for an emergency glass of wine, but yeah I made some great friends from the various forums that I've been involved with.

Jeez. This is turning into a frigging novel.
Sorry x

I share that sentiment, Cass. My family, too.  They hated Trump--said he is an idiot--yet still with the memes and passed-on nonsense.  The reason for this contradictory behavior?  I think we underestimated how much they hated having a black president, even more that Obama was so brilliant and accomplished so much.  They finally got to vent, no matter that their man is a Neo-Nazi, criminal traitor, white supremacist...ffs, they sigh, at least he's white!

It's as if their feet have been itching, and finally they are able to run with something.

Interesting...!

Interesting that you would believe that shit. But your boy Trump did pardon a sheriff who ignored child abuse in favor of abusing illegal immigrants recently.

I think Quill would remind you, child sex abuse is the domain of the right:

Suspect

Tommy has form in trying to deflect from establishment efforts to protect British establishment paedo's...

I need only refer back to posts made about Viscount William Slim as GG to Oz, and to the behaviour of British authorities stealing and exporting children during WWII, to see how some extreme-right-wing Brits on here triec to lay the blame off onto others..

Tommy will wriggle out of this one. He can cleverly wriggle out of any tight corner. He's gooood!!  lol!
He is the only rightwinger that I like . Not sure why I like him.
Maybe it's b/cause he does NOT pretend to be cuddly.

I'm BORED with people who have very harsh, draconian rightwing views yet they pretend to be nice, cuddly people.

To be honest, I got sick of it all a few forums ago. Nothing I say will really change the mind of the person I'm speaking too.

i was talking more about irl than forums tbh. and the reason is that i've always considered you to be so reasonable and measured and laid back, apart from being a really nice person in general so what makes you think you can't change peoples minds? if anyone can it would be someone like you imo.

I fight for the causes I believe in, I just don't feel the need to go on and on about them.

what are the causes you fight for and what does that involve?

also can i ask you who you think should be president? or who at least has the potential to be a good president?

also did you ever support hilary clinton? and if you did, do you still?

or did you favour bernie sanders?

i've heard a fair amount of people interviewed who were really pissed off about hilary standing simply because they wanted bernie and it kind of split the democrats and damaged them - said people did not vote for trump obviously but nor did they vote for clinton

how do you feel about things now?

thanks for coming back on this one, cass

I think people voted for Trump-because like Brexit voters they are utterly sick of being downtrodden and said 'enough is enough'

I know families that are split because of Brexit and its sad - I think the reason for this is all the hype and protesting by the losers - its caused division and hard feeling . These days people can't seem to understand democracy and that at one time we used to just get on with it whoever got into power - we accepted it and that was it . I can only remember protests about the 'poll tax' when Maggie was in power - other than that there was no crying stamping of feet and demanding for whoever was in power to resign .

If we are divided by whoever is in government whatever will come next .

Or was it, that like Hitler he look to make scapegoats out of people?
I mean he did this with Mexicans and Muslims.
In the Middle East, Christians, Druze, Yazidi's, Jews and Kurds are made victims
So if the hate and discrimination is wrong against all these groups, what makes Trumps discrimination right?
All he does is become one with those of hate and fear, ensuring people are divided

As much as I respect Maggie, plenty of people stood up to her.

So its not about whether he is in power, but whether you stand by his very poor prejudiced views?

I've been waiting for someone to ask actually.

"Appreaction" is what you feel after a RW education.
Perhaps. I dunno.

"Covfefe" is simply fuckeries that one might do after having a RW education.

People are like fucking sheep. If it's the 'in thing' to hate a particular politician that's what they do. The reality is, all politicians are self serving lying bumbling puppets. In Sweden, they're all happily going into the fold with their voluntary microchips. It's being sold to them under the guise of ease of access to all they covet. And so they have you. They own you. They can access your every move and purchase. Smart TV's spy on you. Ask Alexa. Something's coming, and it's not nice.
