More Pro Brexit spin

Post by Angry Andy on Sun Aug 20, 2017 10:09 am

Apparently Bexit will save us £135 billion per year.  Or £40 per  week.
Says rabid pro Brexit, right of right wing, Thatcher supporting Uni Professor Patrick Minford.

'Hard' Brexit offers '£135bn annual boost' to economy - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40972776

Given his political history, there is good reason to question his judgement.

As many are doing.

Hand shandy likes the idea of the UK being run by an unwanted, unneeded, unelected, undemocratic and corrupt foreign federal dictatorship... while I prefer the UK to be run by democracy here in our UK parliament by people who are elected by British citizens and acting for British citizens!!!

You both talk utter bollicks.
I want to see and read BALANCED reporting of news, not the British equivalent  of Fox or Breitbart.
By offering both sides , it is easier to make a better balanced
judgment on the Pro/Con issues of Brexit.
Which is why the original referendum was so skewed through lack of clear and factual reporting.
The author is a staunchly pro Brexit former champion of Thatcher.  Nothing neutral or balanced there then.

Are you for real...!?

The article/link you posted in OP was from the BBC...!!!

And you do realise that Thatcher was originally a strong supporter of the EEC/EU when it was supposed to only be about the potential boost to the economy through making trading easier, and again when this was supposed to only be a few close neighbouring countries involved... and also when it wasnt about giving up control of our country/democracy/laws/borders to EU dictatorship...!?

Most of them are duplicitous opportunists, Andy. x.

Two of the top people on the brexit team -Theresa May and Boris - started off being anti-brexit, but subsequently made U turns purely for political expediency, to further their careers.

Patriotism comes a poor second in their list of priorities, imo.

Con merchant Boris toured the country with this publicity stunt which was an outright lie. Leaving the EU will not enrich the NHS by £350 million, and the figure was a lie in any case, the true  amount the UK sends to the EU is less than half of that figure.  Two lies rolled into one.

The guy is devoid of any scruples , he has shown this repeatedly. Yet he has a central role in all our dealings with the EU.

I don't give a fuck who's right or wrong, just get out of the corrupt mess that the EU is, and let's rule our selves. If we have to take a "hit" so be it.
Look at the poncing little Hitlers telling us what THEY want and what we can and cannot do. They should ask their OAP's who it was who pulled them out of the shit in the last war and lost thousands of young British men doing it.

A typically selfish pov.
You and I will be 6'under in 25 years or so, but it is our kids and grandkids who will carry the burden if Brexit proves to ve a catastrophic  mistake.
And remenber, the under 25's largely voted to remain.
And it is easier to remain for the time being then pull out in 5, 10,15 or 20 years if remaining proves a failure, than it is to try and return if if transpires that leaving was an error.

Evening Jules... actually our EU budget is around 18billion a year, which equates to around 350million a week...

Some of this amount we are let off sending because we currently still get a rebate, which the EU could decide in the future at some point, that we wont get any more, if we continued to be members... and another chunk of the overall amount is spent back here in the UK, but this is spending that is controlled by the EU...!

Leaving the EU means WE can decide what we do with ALL of this money!!!

Nowhere was it claimed that the NHS would get an extra 18billion a year by leaving the EU... the NHS was just one example of where some of the money could be better used in providing some extra funding!!!

This was a hotly debated point before the referendum... and everybody knew what I have just explained!!!

And this was only one issue of the vote... the main issue was that people dont want our country to be ruled by a corrupt foreign federal dictatorship... we want our country to have its sovereignty and democracy restored to the total control of our UK parliament and those serving there as the elected representatives of the British people!!!

yet we have the BBC suffixing every bit of good economic news with "despite brexit"
what you dont like is hearing anything that does not agree with your warped view of the world.

have you considered why most people over a certain age chose to leave. Experience. We have seen the EU lies for 40+ years
