Going out v Staying in.

Post by Syl on Wed Jun 28, 2017 7:06 pm

A sudden dinner invitation suddenly comes your way...for tonight and its now 7pm.

Dilemma.... a nice meal cooked and cleared away by someone else is tempting, the venue is local, it's casual (so not much effort needed in choosing outfit etc) and has acquired a good reputation quickly.
or
Stay in, its nice and cosy, raining outside, and its not THAT much trouble to prepare a quick and easy meal really is it.

What to do??

Stay in, I'd be in Jim jams by then lol.

Going out doesn't have the same excitement for me anymore. Can't be bothered getting ready.

Go out and eat a meal prepared and served by someone else. Come home and have a whisky and get in your pyjamas. cheers

I think it must be an age thing....plus when it's raining going out at night doesn't have the same appeal.

Actually, it was really dead in this place tonight.....if we try it again think I might wait for a weekend when they have a bit of a cabaret on.

Thanks Mags...I would have been just as happy staying in in retrospect. Rolling Eyes

First my hair got wet...and my hair goes curly frizzy when its been wet.

The other thing is I hate eating out when a place is almost empty....part of the enjoyment of eating out is the atmosphere that a lively place adds to the night.

Anyway...all in all it was pretty boring, a bit like this thread. Razz

Yes to you! When you want to waffle on about staying in or going out and then ignoring everyone anyway and doing what you want to do! Rolling Eyes

One can weigh up the relevant pros and cons in debate and still think independently Eddie....which is exactly what I did last night.
Or put another way....I will welcome advice....then do my own sweet thing anyway.
