'I think you ought to leave' - David Dimbleby ejects Corbynista audience member from Question Time

Post by Thorin on Fri 23 Jun 2017 - 5:50

Presenter David Dimbley ejected a rowdy audience member from BBC Question Time programme on Thursday evening after he continuously shouted over the panel. The man, who appeared to be a supporter of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, repeatedly shouted that the Conservatives had "lost the election" while the show's panelists attempted to get their comments heard.

In a passionate tirade, the unnamed man dressed in a colourful shirt said: "Jeremy Corbyn has proven that anti-austerity policies are popular - the Tories and the Blairites lost that election". Among the panelists was the Conservative MP David Lidlington who was loudly interrupted by the audience member as he attempted to defend Theresa May's government. The audience member continued to call out in favour of increasing tax levels for the wealthy and corporations while panelists such as pro-EU campaigner Gina Miller spoke.

Question Time host Dimbleby initially tried to calm the man down, telling him: “I know you have your views. You’re one person in an audience of 150, I don’t want you taking over this programme. He’s speaking, let him speak.”

Mr Dimbley's ticking off was met with applause from the audience.

But as Mr Lidington attempted to continue speaking, the man continued to shout, leading the justice secretary to become visibly annoyed with the disruptive audience member.

The MP said: “The corporation tax yield has gone shooting up since the government reduced the rates of corporation tax providing more money for the National Health Service, Schools, Social Care and the other Public Services - so please show a bit of financial literacy.”

Eventually, Mr Dimbleby decided enough was enough, telling the man: “Listen, I think you ought to leave.”

As security staff began to approach, the raucous audience member picked up his bag and left as an irritated audience applauded.

The telegraph labels the man a Corby-nista.  Shocked  Shocked  So anyone who prefers Corbyn  to May is a blood-red marxist then. Really?? Isn't that as stupid as claiming that anyone who likes Theresa May is a May-nazi then?

The guy was gobby and made no effort to pipe down when told to. The sight of him getting his marching orders and getting up to leave is the exact equivalent of someone on a forum who gets repeatedly warned to shut up and stop being a nuisance ... till he finally gets sent to the basement for DISRUPTION of the whole forum.

An audience member kicked off BBC Question Time by its presenter David Dimbleby is today revealed as a hard-line left wing activist with a long record of campaigning against the Conservative Party.

Steve German was asked to leave after repeatedly heckling the panel and shouting that the Tories had lost the general election.

When the pro-Remain campaigner Gina Miller began talking about the hung Parliament Theresa May will have to deal with he shouted: "She's a zombie Prime Minister!"

Around 40 minutes into the programme, being broadcast from Plymouth, Mr Dimbleby lost his patience and told Mr German it was time for him to go.

It is thought to be only the second time a Question Time audience member has been ejected from the programme.

Now it has emerged that Mr German is a committed campaigner for the Socialist Party and supporter of Jeremy Corbyn.

In the 2015 general election he stood as a candidate for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) in Taunton Deane, polling just just 118 votes.

I'm sure that most of Corbyn's supporters don't agree with ALL his policies, we know he's not perfect. Some fine tuning is needed.  But people feel his heart is in the right place. He has the common touch, for sure .... ie he's the polar opposite of May.   Interesting that his initials are the same as the messiah's cos he's  like "the second coming of the messiah''

The people who like him him are an ordinary cross section of society. No foaming-at-the-mouth commies in sight.

Top tip: time to start taking him seriously instead of arrogantly dismissing his supporters as a bunch of marxists.

What has that got to do with The Socialist Mr German?

Who said anything about all his supporters?

We are speaking about one here are we not?

You use a poor collectively argument which nobody is making

So it seems you are deflecting away from the individual, based off a collective view. That now all people should be seen based on a collective view on supporting Corbyn, and not on their individual views. He is a die hard socialist Corbyn supporter.

Pray tell what is wrong in saying that?

That stupid and lazy Telegraph reporter still failed to prove that the troublemaker was in any way a "Corbynista"..

Typical Murdoch rag, that Telegraph -- it's editor learnt well in his previous job with the Sydney version of that gutter rag.

Really?

That trouble maker was very much a Corbynista.

Who is an ardent socialist worshiper of Corbyn

Kind of like the Hitler Youth were of Hitler.

Nicko, if Wolfie ''has his head up his arse'', he's certainly not the only one.

If Thorin kept spamming this forum with threads about right wingers as much as he spams it with threads about left wingers, you'd be screaming that he (Thorin ) is brainwashed too.

As for the man in the audience, yes he may be brainwashed as you say, ...... but then again, maybe the reason for his passion is because of his own personal experiences, not as result of ''brainwashing.''

I will never make excuses for people who say stuff like that.

Now it's my turn to ask you a question - - - - why do you spam newsfix with so many threads and posts about ''the LEFT''?

To generate debate, is why I start threads and why you answer them

You miss the point, why do you only post about ''the left'' and not ''the right''?

If debate is what you are after, rather than an obsessive, single-minded agenda, you would post about both sides, just to balance things out. Simple.

I post about any group that is extreme Jules

Why are you turning this about me?

That says to me you know the left have many problems, as you cannot defend them

I despise the Tories, does that help?

No, you don't criticise the tories enough. If you did, the tories on here would be screaming at you, just as much as they scream at the likes of wofie.

Let's cut to the chase, you are a thoroughbred, self obsessed anti-left spammer, Thorin. A quick search confirms your obsession, ... and not all your posts have 'left' in the title. IE, there are many more similar threads made by you.

These are just some of the obsessive anti-LEFT posts you have made this year alone, Thorin > > >

That is all you need to do, IMO.

As I have made my point and also given documented proof, I will leave it there, for now.

Because Thor IS unbalanced.
He claims political neutrality  but ONLY posts  negative stuff about Labour and Corbyn.
I challenge him to repost links to 3 anti conservative threads he has started.

He is either too brain fuddled to see his own subconcious bias or he is doing it deliberately BECAUSE he IS rw biased.

Do you honestly believe that Corbyn's "messiahlike" appearences, including the one at Glastonbury, are not stage-managed and orchestrated down to the finest detail?

The fledgling NAZI Party used exactly the same techniques to promote their leader in the early 1930s.

The fledgling NAZI Party used exactly the same techniques to promote their leader in the early 1930s.

Firstly... I think it is totally wrong for glasto music festival to be politically hijacked in this way... Ive been there a few times and i know Tony Benn used to sometimes be there and speak on stage but that was in one of the small tents on the outskirts of the festival, holding 100 or so people...

Secondly... using leftie spin... the overwhelming vast majority of people at glasto DIDNT turn up to Corbyn... so only a tiny minority were in support of him and what he was saying!!!

lol!

He has the common touch, for sure .... ie he's the polar opposite of May.   Interesting that his initials are the same as the messiah's cos he's  like "the second coming of the messiah''

The people who like him him are an ordinary cross section of society. No foaming-at-the-mouth commies in sight.

He does have that appearance doesn't he? Someone remarked on his initials too. Beware of false prophets!

Lord Mole, your style is generally polite and civil and that counts for  lot with me, but I don't agree with some of your opinions, I'm afraid.

It's a waste of your time to accuse Corbyn of being ''stage-managed'' because that is a subjective term, and purely the accuser's opinion. It is completely impossible to provide independent PROOF of such an accusation, as it's just your opinion.

If I cared enough to want proof of anything regarding Corbyn, I would look to a genuinely  independent source, I would not look to someone like you,  who says he dislikes Corbyn intensely.

We live in the digital age, being well presented counts,  and I see nowt wrong if a politician accepts advice on how best to present themselves on the media.

Whilst we're on the subject of election campaigns, I think there are worse things than being ''stage-managed'' and here are some examples that I haven't seen anyone criticise yet.

Eg
1. Election Expenses fraud. The full £70,000 fine for fraud was paid by the conservatives and they still have an MP under criminal investigation.

2. Willful slander of a rival candidate - it's an imprisonable offence now, and Theresa May was very nearly sued by the labour party for getting carried away with lies about a labour MP.

3. I find it extremely cynical that both Cameron and May used the services of a professional strategist from Australia to run their election campaigns. The Ossie guy charges whopping consultancy fees for giving advice on election strategy and has already advised several other countries' election candidates. He was the whizzkid who came up with the idea to make this campaign extremely personal about Corbyn and his shadow home secretary ..... and it spectacularly backfired.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe you'll get round to criticising those actions too, to show you're unbiased, LM?

Why should people on here be unbiased? The lefties aren't exactly unbiased are they?

He himself is the one who likes to say how unbiased he is.
Which is why I said what I said.

All I see is the those regressive on the left continually deny the ability to discuss problems on the left.

I mean considering I post around 20 topics a day and the above is over 6 months then its small the number I post about the left who are regressives

As I say the left, those who suffer from ostrich parasitic syndrome, want to continually deflect from problems found within the left. That continually as seen above by Jules deflect and never actually talk about the problems at hand. They misdirect onto the poster showing a major aspect of ostrich parasitic syndrome

You missed the point, and that is something you are very good at. Dunno if it's deliberate, or denseness.

The point is ....
when I search your posts  using the keywords ''right'', ''rightwing'' etc, next to nothing happens
when I use the keywords ''left'', ''leftwing'' etc, the page just explodes.
In fact this grab shows an underestimation, cos it does not take into account  all your anti-left threads which have words like '''snowflake'' in the title, instead of ''leftie.''

MOREOVER many of your posts in other people's threads are about lefties too.

I would not normally take a screenshot but you claimed you criticise both sides equally. DAMNED LIE!
Who you criticise is your business, but no need to lie.

I ration the amount of time I give to attention seekers and you have used up all your ration now, so it will be a very long time before you get anymore attention from me, trust me.

Equally in this case does not mean that post/thread counts must be the same in number for criticism of each etc... i think what he was saying was that he will criticise when criticism is due, in an unbiased and 'equal' fashion... so if he appears to be more critical of left recently, then that is likely to be because the left have more to be critical of recently...!!!
