That's not what the Americans on here seem to be saying.

The polls are indeed tightening, but since Trump once again suggested someone shoot Clinton, and completely fumbled his "press conference" where he admitted he'd been lying about Obama's birthplace for five years, falsely blamed Clinton for starting the birther movement, didn't take questions from reporters and the stage backdrop collapsed, let's see where the polls are in a few days once pollsters have gotten the chance to ask people about those things.

She still has the advantage, according to the most accurate analyst of the past several elections: http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/?ex_cid=rrpromo#plus

And I still say that once Clinton has had the chance to confront Trump directly in the debates, she'll have it in the bag.

If Trump becomes president, I'm going to live in my secret bunker with my dog and my tinned goods.

And a tin opener.

I reckon the dip in the polls is because Clinton's illness became public (even though most of us knew it for a while)

scratch

I DON'T BELIEVE such widely different polling figures...

The only way that the US population would have over way over 40% of eligible voters ready to elect Trump, when less than 30% actually support the Republican party, following all of Trump's lies, silliness, hatemongering and craziness -- would be if they had somehow all somehow agreed on a path to self-destruction, economic suicide and the mutual self-inflicted breakdown of their society..

Much like Germany and Italy during the 1930s;
Or Argentina, Iran, or the Philippines during the 1970s and '80s, or Syria during the 1990s.

Most young people are cellphone-only users who are harder for pollsters to reach. Online polling shows they are going to Clinton.

That said, it's not over yet and we need a good turnout.
