Turkey

Post by Miffs2 on Fri Jul 15, 2016 11:58 pm

just got in and stuck on the news...
Scary times in Turkey. I pray for a swift and peaceful end to events in Turkey.

We all know people out there. Istanbul is one of my favourite places.
So let's hope all the people of Turkey are safe and well especially Dean and his family.

I have friends who are out there, their families haven't heard from them as yet...they are trying not to panic.

I second that to Dean and all the people of Turkey.

Peace x

A few still do and Dean still posts here.
What is curious is the evolution that forum has undergone.
It started as a Conservative blog forum with Tory supporting  contributors such as Lord Moletrousers, Bliar - who became Hugh and Durham and a few others. After Hackgate, it lurched to the far right with some extremist views from Sawyer, SB'S and Allakaka's.
With freedom of speech come responsibility, which that place shows little. At least this place has remained true to its original ideology.
Thanks to Ben.

Have you been away Nicko? Dean has has been a hot topic due to his location and events in Turkey.
I know you don't like left wingers, but shame on you for wishing us all dead. Isn't that what the Na$! party thought and did?

Hmmm, now what's that word - means treating members one way and yet behaving another and calling out others for your MORALITY BIBLE of Thou Shall Not Do?   Suspect
Why, yes...it's being HYPOCRITICAL!  No
And I thought you were above all that - gee, guess I WAS WRONG - AGAIN.

Handy Andy - A few still do and Dean still posts here.
What's his avatar/nickname - handle ...has he been around since Feb when I joined?

Yes 4ever it's lavender, I'm assuming so anyway.
It's a beautiful-looking house. I could sit in that top window and just dream my life away looking out at that field.

My landscape is not complete until I have a row of that growing around here; I'm obsessed with getting that accomplished; they said I couldn't grow blue berries in my soil and I proved them wrong about that.  This must be accomplished - it's on my BUCKET LIST!

Yes, Rhododendrons take a specific area and shouldn't be planted to close to any home foundations; much like those silly years of builders slapping a group of conifers around a new home just for their 'curb appeal' and most often planting several right over the sewer and water lines Evil or Very Mad

But now that there are so many 'dwarf' variety of those perennial shrubs/ornamental grasses; they've returned in popularity and are much more manageable for us homeowners.
