If they are settled here with jobs and are paying their Taxes let 'em stay.
If they have no jobs after 3 months and are being supported by the tax payer, out.

So you would send back a family that have fled here in terror, for fear of their lives, back to be possibly killed, or raped, or assaulted?

You could look at a mother, holding two little children in her arms and her husband weeping, as you "send them back"?

See, I couldn't.

I could round up the ones of fighting age, dossing around and moaning about our country, and generally doing fuck all and send them back, with food parcels and help for others, yes.

They wouldn't be migrants - they'd be asylum seekers.

And not genuine ones if they have passed through countries of safety to get here...

Hello nicko.

The type of jobs they mainly have do not come into our income tax bracket so they also get other benefits which cost us taxpayers and in addition to that our own could be doing the jobs they are doing and we are paying them benefits.

We taxpayers STILL lose out.

then the probelm is your taxation system.
how can they be working and still need hand outs?
system must be broken

Mass immigration has massively pushed up costs of living while also pushing down wages and wage rises...

How many times do I have to keep telling some of you this!?

It's basic economics... 'supply & demand'... look it up and try thinking...

A good question which applies to anyone working in this country, including Brits. Anyone working full time will come into the income tax bracket, but they can probably still claim benefits if they're on low pay. This is why the Government is making some kind of attempt to raise the minimum wage so people don't need all these silly tax credits and housing benefits, etc. The main problem is housing costs IMO. The trouble is that the more people can earn, the more landlords will put up rents, and the more people will ask for if they sell their house, so everyone is back at square one. Something needs to be done.

And it's immigration that is pushing up housing costs...

Raise minimum wage too high and companies will become uncompetitive, unprofitable and close down...

I'm saying you can't keep importing people en masses which pushes up housing costs and then keep on increasing wages to pay for it ..

It's unsustainable.
