the utter hypocrisy of the left when it comes to left wingers using tax avoidance measures

Post by The Devil, You Know on Tue Apr 12, 2016 4:51 pm

this week there has been much made of camerons and his families  perfectly legal use of tax avoidance measure, but we haven't heard a peep about the numerous left wingers who have also benefited from using perfectly legal tax avoidance measures.

so here are a few links on tax avoidance by left wing mp's and and a couple of media groups

and then there's an actual tax evader instead of a legal tax avoider

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/politics/7067902/Question-mark-over-Jeremy-Corbyns-tax-affairs-after-he-failed-to-declare-450-earnings-to-taxman.html

hopefully it is not too much for the left wing mind to digest in one gulp but I look forward to hearing if this tax avoidance and evasion receives as much ire as camerons perfectly legal tax avoidance..

I should point out that I do not condemn any of those labour mp's for using a perfectly legal tax avoidance scheme, in fact they should be applauded for minimising their tax liability as it is their money not the taxmans, however the hypocrisy does leave a rather bitter taste don't you think.

now #jihadijez 's tax evasion might be a different kettle of fish entirely. Ignorance of the tax laws cannot be used as a defence surely.
he's already been fined one for late returns will it get worse for him for not including all his income?

As I said earlier I look forward to as much indignation over this as cameron received but I wont hold my breath, hypocrisy seems endemic in the socialists mindset

Jeremy Corbyn overstated income on his tax return

Jeremy Corbyn overstated his earnings in his tax return last year, PoliticsHome can reveal.

Figures published in his House of Commons register of interests suggest he earned £270 less than he claimed in 2014/15 - meaning he could be in line for a refund from the taxman.
The apparent mix-up follows yesterday's revelation that he was fined £100 by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs  for filing his return nearly a week late.

The Labour leader also took six days from announcing he would be publishing it to finally track down a copy.
It was reported this morning that Mr Corbyn had not declared £450 of income from lectures he gave between April 2014 and April 2015.
But analysis of his tax return and his register of interests by this website suggests he actually earned less than he declared.
Mr Corbyn’s return, published yesterday, says that he earned £1,850 on top of his MP’s salary. This was made up of £1,350 from lectures and £500 for taking part in surveys.

However, according to the register - which is published on the Commons website - Mr Corbyn only earned £1,200 from lectures over that period.
The £1,350 figure entered on his tax return appears to refer to money he earned giving lectures at the Foreign Office.

However, £750 of that total was for work done after April 2015, meaning it would not fall under his taxable income the 2014-15.

That means his taxable income from the FCO lectures was only £600.
He earned the same amount for a series of ‘Working with Parliament' lectures’ during the same period, meaning his total lecture income came to £1,200, rather than £1,350.

The Labour leader also appears to have overstated the amount of money he brought in from the surveys, which he notes as £500 on his return.
But the total survey income in the register appears to only be £380, meaning Mr Corbyn has overstated his income from this source to the tune of £120.

In total, that means his tax return inflated his actual earnings for 2014/15 by £270.

Mr Corbyn's spokesman was not available for comment.

You can tell the RW are utterly desperate when you get posts like Dean's above, he's even pootled over to post it, obviusly seeing the disdain that Cameron is held in over here.   lol! lol! lol!

Go and buy Cameron a pig's head to fuck, I'm sure it will make him feel better.

BTW, his Dad had MILLIONS in at least three offshort accounts, a 4th is suspected, and yet Dave only got £300,000?   So where is the rest of it?  In another undeclared offshore account probably.   So much more to still come on.  That was all from one law company dealing in them, a lot of the papers still to be looked at, and there are hundreds of other companies like that, do hope they get hacked.

I can certainly see that the only legal tax avoidance they condemn is that of tories where I can only presume that they consider tax avoidance by their own team to be a plucky stance against big government.
Of course tax avoidance is perfectly legal, something most leftists seem to confuse with evasion which is deliberately hiding money from the taxman. things like extra cash payments and even tax on pensions to name just two.

Are any of the people mentioned there current Prime Ministers or people who are involved in government and who voted to reduce ESA by £30 PW and who had planned to reduce PIP payments for the disabled and needy whilst they pocketed huge sums of money for themselves?

Let me know if you finfd any because they are the real hypicrites. If you can't find any in that list then see if you can find any in maybe another party and list them.

Rolling Eyes

YOU DON'T HALF write a load of self-serving shit !!!

AND WHERE do you get off,  apologising for criminals, claiming "hypocrisy" where it doesn't exist, and trying to derail discussions by creating new and spurious arguments  ???

ARE YOU David Cameron's cousin, by any chance ?

AND A SIDENOTE to Stormee ==  see all of this posting links with no supporting reference comments or edifying comments that this clueless dickhead "The Devil You Know" has c&p'd above -- this is much, much more like the "spamming" that you referred to a couple of days ago !

I HAVE to wonder how many people would bother to check out all those links in the OP..

YOU REALLY ARE the ultimate fuckwit, that others are always claiming you to be, aren't you Dean !?!

WHERE ARE your examples of lefties ignoring lefties, Dean ?

THAT'S RIGHT -- You don't have any such examples do you, you pathetic little wastrel..

PLUS, JUST to prove how clueless you are =

Tax Avoidance isn't "legal" -- despite the lies that you, Tommy and nicko keep on posting...
IT IT WAS, your criminal heroes wouldn't need tricky accountants, shady lawyers, and shonky offshore 'tax havens' to hide their ill-gotten gains in -- would they ?!?

"Tax Avoidance" is actually that grey area between genuine 'Tax minimisation' that all legitimate businesses have access to, and those criminal "Tax Evasion" activities that you seem to be supporting on this thread.

YOUR TOTAL ignorance and stupidity, as well as your own probable criminal inclinations, are ably demonstrated by your puerile and odious claims herein.
