HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODIES !!!

I would have posted on here 21 hours and 31 min's ago, if I hadn't been hamstrung by unexpected diversions and crashing and failing internet connections.. ( No )

(And, remembering that NSW is 10 hours ahead of UT(C)/"Greenwich" time..)

 What a Face

P.S. IT took me 7.5 hours to get this post up last night/early this morning, so it should have read 29 hours late ~ BUT my internet connection either bogged way down, or dropped out completely when I tried !  Sad

clown  WHILE it is always painfully slow out here on the fringes (still not fast enough to "stream" movies online around here !), the local internet service outdid itself over New Year's eve/New Year's day. While it wasn't unexpected to see it crash with heavy traffic on New Year's eve, taking TWO days to get back to normal is just a bit "Over The Top..", by anyone's standards.

LAST YEAR, the rumour was that the previous government was delaying maintenance and repair work on Oz's current telecommunications infrastructure, while it was in the early stages of unrolling a national fibre-optic network ~ hoping that the new work would catch up with the constantly-degrading old copper telephone network..

UNFORTUNATELY, when the new Liberal clown troupe got into power in September, they claimed that their merry little band of party_lawyers and accountancy_dropouts could magically make "that internet thingamabob" run faster over the existing rotting-by-the-minute copper wires by simply cutting funding for the upgrades !   Rolling Eyes

AND SO, Australia's internet and communications infrastructure has inevitably been degrading at an accelerating rate under our new Abbott-Hockey disaster of a government..

 Suspect
