Peter Sutcliffe set to be moved from Broadmoor...

Post by Syl on Tue Dec 01, 2015 6:32 pm

....as he is no longer deemed to be mentally ill.
The cost of his 30 plus year stay there has so far cost the tax payer over 9 million.

Nine million£££ could have done a lot to help the needy in society, instead it's kept him in comfort. If he is moved he will need round the clock surveillance to keep him safe from other prisoners, so a good few more million will be needed for this one big waste of oxygen.

It's hard to believe it's been more than 30 years since they caught him. I remember it like it was yesterday.

I remember hearing on the BBC news the tape sent to the police by the nutter with the Geordie accent.
Creepy...and it certainly doesn't seem that long ago.

We have many of our own people who need that money to survive.

If ever this country struggled to get a hangman they can call on me to take the job GRATIS, I kid you not.

Pity the death sentence had been abolished before he (and others since who have commited such heinous murders) was found.

He didn't show signs of insanity till after he was caught......and because of it he has so far served his time in an easier place than he would have done had he not been declared insane.

You cant compare, judge or treat the same the acts of a child to the acts of an adult.

Exactly. That threw them off the scent for a while didn't it?

I'd been to Alma Road in Leeds where he killed his last victim. I remember the row of shops and the KFC place, and after he was caught it seemed obvious that's where he'd been hanging around when he saw her. I knew the area in Sheffield where they caught him too.

Frightening to think an area where you know is the same area a serial killer like him operated.

After that tape was released I got a late night cab home from a club where I worked. The driver started talking and he had the same Geordie accent as the man on the tape. It had been suggested that the ripper could be a taxi driver as he knew the areas well....he was associated with Manchester as well as Leeds.

I can honestly say I have never been so scared either before or since.

and, by the same token...none of the parents/friends/relativers of these jihadis have any idea that their precious has been radicalised, an idea swallowed hook line and sinker by some folks, whos comfy little world would collapse if the opposite were proved true, since it would nean that many many more folks were "culpable", and the infection much deeper than they like to claim it is

that is to say it would no longer be "only a few"

ok...so...why execute anyone?

if you are going to be selective about it, upon what criteria do you base your selectivity???

Well this is a thread that doesn't concern Islamic terrorists.....and I don't see the comparison either tbh.
Sutcliffe was a family man who never strayed far from home pre internet, all his ideas were his own.

Furthermore I don't think many jihadis are claiming to be schizophrenic.

Well this is a thread that doesn't concern Islamic terrorists.....and I don't see the comparison either tbh.

obviously your comprehension is limited then
but to simplify it for you

you claimed his father and brother didnt see any "insanity" in him prior to his acts

well neither do the jihadis families

now either you accept what "social aquaintences" see is irrelevant... i.e the opinion of sutcliffes father and brother is irrelevant to the actuality which then absolves the "social aquiantences" of jihadis from possibly knowing

OR as you seem to think sutcliffs father and brothers opinion and "judgement" is factual and accurate...in which case the jihadis "social aquaintances " do know rather more than they let on and are hence culpable..

Sutcliffe was a family man who never strayed far from home pre internet, all his ideas were his own.

Furthermore I don't think many jihadis are claiming to be schizophrenic.

No? well actually they (or rather their appologists) claim they are "radicalised", and equate it to some sort of mental malfunction. and consider it "cureable" too Rolling Eyes

Its not political particularly, nor is it essentially about 2jihadists"

its about the strange duality there seems to be in dealing with certain things

I take it you are a strong beleiver in "the law is the law, and the same for all men" ?
